What We Check

Wake Your Boat Up Right

A boat that sat all winter needs more than a quick look before it goes back in the water. Fuel breaks down, batteries lose charge, and seals dry out even when a boat is stored correctly. We go through the fuel system, battery and electrical, cooling system, belts, and safety gear so nothing surprises you on your first trip out.

Whether your boat sat in a heated shop or under a cover in the yard, we tailor the tune-up list to how it was stored and how you plan to use it once the season starts.

How It Works

Getting Your Boat Ready

A simple four step process from drop off to your first day out.

1

Drop Off And Inspection

We look over the whole boat and note anything that needs attention beyond the standard list.

2

Fluid And Battery Service

Old fuel, oil, and coolant get replaced and the battery is tested and charged.

3

Safety And Systems Check

Belts, hoses, lights, and safety gear are inspected and tested for proper operation.

4

Water Test And Pickup

We run the engine and confirm everything checks out before you get back on the water.

The Checklist

Full Tune-Up Checklist

Every spring tune-up covers these six areas before your boat leaves our shop.

Battery And Electrical

Battery load tested and charged, terminals cleaned, and all wiring checked for corrosion or wear spots.

Fuel System

Old or stale fuel drained, filters replaced, and lines checked for cracks after a season in storage.

Engine Fluids

Oil, lower unit gear oil, and coolant checked and replaced on the schedule your engine needs.

Belts And Hoses

Every belt and hose inspected for cracking, glazing, or soft spots that can fail once the engine warms up.

Safety Equipment

Lights, horn, bilge pump, and fire extinguisher tested so you meet the water ready to go.

Trailer Inspection

Tires, bearings, lights, and winch strap checked so the trip to the ramp is as safe as the trip on the water.

Spring Tune-Up FAQ

The earlier the better. Scheduling before the season gets busy means your boat is ready when the weather turns, instead of sitting in a queue with everyone else who waited until the first warm weekend.
It depends on what the inspection turns up. If we find an issue, we will let you know before doing any repair beyond the standard checklist.
Yes. We tune up any boat that comes through our shop, regardless of where it was purchased.
It can. Boats stored outside are more likely to need extra attention on batteries, fuel, and seals. We adjust the checklist based on how and where your boat was stored.
Yes. We handle winterization for boats, campers, and inboards, so you can bring the same boat back to us at the end of the season.
